Thanksgiving Monday

Yesterday was a beautiful Thanksgiving Monday. I wish the beautiful part had been having turkey, but instead the beautiful part was getting the day off work to relax. By relax you know I mean help my mother clean the house and read. We didn't get turkey this weekend because some people obviously don't understand what's involved in turkey day.
After being forced out of bed at 9:30 I was put to work. (I think there are child cruelty laws against such work but I went along with it just to humour my mother.) When you're the only child who isn't working on the holiday you get roped into these kinds of things. With our excellent teamwork skills we finished cleaning by noon. I enjoyed a nice bowl of corn chowder for lunch and then came the exciting part of the day.
I sat down in my chaise after nicely placing my dirty chowder bowl in the sink and began to examine the pages of The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe and what an excellent novel indeed. Even if you haven't heard of any of the other books in the series you have definitely heard of that one, unless you live under a rock.
I didn't have to focus too hard or read too long and I realized that I was done that book. To my enjoyment I began the next book in the series, The Horse and His Boy. I had so much time to read that before I knew it I had read half the book. Somewhere in there I ate supper but I can't remember if it was after or before the second chapter.

Go to the gym, this is t-bear signing off
