The Week Before Midterms

The following is a list of things I've learned this week, things that have happened to me, and just your average random things:

1. There are BLT's at the pub, and they are rather spectacular tasting.
2. Sales draw in Mennonites like lights draw in bugs
3. The question I get asked a lot, "If you're a Mennonite, why do you have a cell phone?"
4. When I get into the workforce, I will be under appreciated and underpaid.
5. I'm hoping that I'll be able to get a better sleep tonight with all the Avengers characters staring at me.
6. When the calendar is switched to October the magnets have a harder time holding it up. September was so much easier.
7. It's hard to think of touristy places in my own hometown.
8. I am now the proud owner of an induction cooktop and a rather large bag of packing peanuts.
9. Packing peanuts really don't like being taken from a box and put into a bag.
10. I bought a sweat shirt today. It was on sale. After I got home, I held it up and stared at it for a while. It started to look rather familiar. It may or may not be the same sweat shirt that my sister already has. I really cannot tell.
11. It snowed in the Soo this week. It's also October. The end of the world has begun.
12. I sat in a movie theatre this afternoon. The first time since coming to school. There was one point there where I thought, "we'll just be getting in the car and on our way home in time for dinner after this". Then I remembered that I'm not at home.
13. It's apparently never too late to stay out and make lots of noise on a Friday night.
14. I miss home cooked meals.
15. There's no shame in not accomplishing what you set out to. Life isn't set out in a plan that has to be followed. Just because this didn't work out, doesn't mean you can't try something else. Everyone deserves to be happy, no matter what path takes you there.
16. Guacamole can be purchased at my local grocery store. This will happen again.
17. It's raining again.
18. Wool socks and Birkenstock. Although not stylish, very comfy.
19. The National Post has been rather lax on their distributing lately. I do not approve of this.
20. Reese's are better purchased in bulk.
21. We are never too old for children's movies.
