A MucH NeedeD StudY BreaK

It is an unsafe world on the Internet, let me tell ya.
I'm scrolling through pinterest (when I should be studying) where I keep seeing pictures from the television show Game of Thrones. For those of you who aren't already aware of the fact, you should know that I am currently on page 378 of the book the tv show is based on.
This is ridiculous! I can't even go out into my backyard without someone spoiling something for me!
Books are that sacred ground on which we leave our minds to when reality is just too much. If it weren't for books how would we pass the time? I mean for those of us who aren't in college, constantly doing homework, studying and getting addicted to tv shows.
When you travel, you bring a book.
When you go for a car ride, you bring a book.
When you aren't busy participating in life, you read a book!
Are any of you sensing a reoccurring theme here?
Another useful piece of information for you all to remember. I don't like spoilers. Even little this is going to happen, or "have you gotten to this part yet"? Well I obviously haven't gotten to that part yet, and now you just spoiled the whole book for me! I won't even read the back cover, that is just too much information. If I'm going to try out a new book then I'll read the back cover, and proceed to place that particular book on the bottom of my reading pile so I can forget what I read.
Finally, I leave you with a quote said by someone at some time or other in their life:
Don't judge a book by its movie.

Produtivity is happening.

It's hour six on this rainy Sunday and I feel as though I have accomplished greatness in the shallow time I've been awake.
My shortbread is baking away in the toaster oven, my title search project is closer to completion than it was yesterday, and the creative title "Chapter 9 Questions" has been placed atop the document of my next piece of homework. Oh to be young and in college.
Now I must motivate myself to complete both of the above stated assignments so that I can get along with the most exciting activity of the next two weeks: studying. Wish me luck, I'm going to need it!
I hope it's sunny where you are! this is t-bear signing off

Chicken Parm Thursday

My sincerest apologies for the completely unnecessarily large gap between the this and the previous blog post.

I find it apparent to inform all of you that Christmas is indeed in the air. If it weren't for the array of Christmas trees everywhere, the lights on the houses or the Christmas music on the radio I don't know if we'd be able to tell. The lack of snow is a waste of Christmas spirit and does it really need to be so cold if there isn't any snow? I don't think so.
As per usually, I set my alarm to go off at 7:30 in the morning to the sounds of the radio. Lately I have been less than pleased with the results. First off, my regular morning crew have created an awkward hole of emptiness my most beloved morning show. Second, when the unknown fella finishes his talking and the music starts I have to close my ears. Not an easy task people. The only music coming out of those speakers is Christmas music. There isn't enough of a variety of Christmas music to soften the blow.
On the other side of the debacle, I have been preparing myself for Christmas in my own less extravagant ways. I recently started to listen to TSO cd's while I do my homework. Christmas presents for my friends and family are being purchased and stored, I will not disclose the location. I have also equipped my little home with a Christmas tree that stands no taller than the television and smells of rosemary. His name is Friar Fern and he is probably parched right now. I'm not so good with the taking care of part of owning a plant. I remember to open the blinds and allow myself to be blinded by the light so that Friar Fern may enjoy it; however, I still can't remember to water him.
Also in recent news, I killed a fly with febreze. He was hanging out on my windowsill where I keep my dust bunnies when his wings got all covered in dust. He couldn't fly anymore and was just rolling around looking all sad and helpless so I euthanized him. I sprayed a healthy amount of febreze on him, he didn't roll around much longer. I now have a dead fly chilling on my windowsill. I think I'm gonna bury him in the soil of Friar Ferns base.
Finally, I've decided to let go of my Mustang need for the time being until I have experienced my current desire to own a Mini. Let's hope this happens soon people.

Salad

My mother doesn't think I'm being very healthy while at school so she suggested a few foods I could try to eat more. Of course, the first item on the list was salad.
I hate salad.
Not strongly dislike, hate.
Except for ceasar salad of course.
And macaroni salad, that stuff is the shiz.
So we went to the pub the one day. Just a regular, every day lunch thing. I take a quick perusal through the menu. I've almost settled on the all to delicious BLT when my eyes take a less than subtle glance at the super salad section.
So, I broke from tradition and ordered a salad.
The waitress brings over the heaping plate of lettuce and we're all like "oh, that looks good!"
I was all, "Now I'm excited."
Then I started eating it.
That's when I found out, that was no Jose's or Carnival ceasar salad. That was the ripe off of the ripe off of ceasar salad.
So, I don't think I'll be ordering that again.
However, you will be happy to note, Mother, that I have purchased for myself, a bag of pre prepared coleslaw and dressing to adorn it with.
I've also been walking the stairs, as per usual, so I don't think I'm gonna get fat. I just won't be healthy. A small price to pay for being a college student.

Dear Friends, (this one goes out to you guys)

I've had the pleasure of participating in a week off of school work and stressful studying. Thankful as I am for this time, I am eager to return to life at school where I can change the world, one cream cheese bagel at a time.
These past few days have been ones filled with friends of old, eating out, creating a stunning Batman, and being pampered by those more talented in the field then I.
Although my week now comes to a close, I choose to continue my post-secondary education in the comfort and now homelyness of my dorm room and those classrooms that are oh so white walled and simple.
Yet before me stands one complex, multi-layered, 7 hour journey northward. If I make it back in one piece, I'll be surprised. Had I a million dollars, and a car of my own, this 7 hour trek would be cut short to approximately 3 and 1/2 hours. Let's be realistic, I've not the brains, motivation, nor want of a million dollars.
I regretfully became best friends with the cats again, and now will be leaving them with no explanation, and many unshed tears drawing them each closer to depression. With any luck they'll make it through this, I just don't see them standing together to over come the feat.
I will greatly miss the opportunities that I have received this week that have granted me the time to read. After completing the interesting but slow story of A Lion Among Men, I productively read The Perks of Being a Wallflower within 12 hours. I then proceeded to commence the current readings of A Game of Thrones. I just love reading!
Finally, it has dawned on me that although I don't relate to the average humans life and have a somewhat uninteresting life to the outside citizen, people have been reading my blog. I have noticed that the majority of you reside in Canada, which is a wonderful place, but still others have been graced with a home country elsewhere. I would like to say thank you. Thank you to those of you who take the time out of your busy schedules to read my thoughts, I hope you are entertained by what you read here and I hope you continue to be captivated by the less than mundane comments and reflections that I've added herein.
Yours truly,

Miserably Marvelous Monday Morning

It's Monday morning. My laundry is in the washer, my zwieback is lightly toasted, and midterms are just around the corner.
My jam is gross, my calendar won't stay up anymore, and it's cold again today.
Don't you just love days like this?

First of all, Smuckers is a liar. They think just because their name is on the jar that its "worth spending your money on" jam. They lie. Their first mistake was adding 99% more fruit pieces to it. Do you have any idea how difficult it is to search through all the pieces and just find the good stuff?
Secondly, last night while watching a rather inspirational, feel good kinda movie, I accidentally knocked my cup off my desk and it landed on its top. Normally it wouldn't have been able to do this cause there is a straw there, but this time, the straw broke. Right in two. I had a small funeral for the guy and then tossed him. Now I can embrace my inner college student and use the cup that rez gave me.
Thirdly, I just finished off the last of my zwieback and I'm feeling a little depressed, and at a loss for words. Good thing I have a tube of flaky rolls in the fridge or I would be one sad, lonely, hungry person.
Fourthly, mother nature is so sneaky. Yesterday morning when I went to take out the garbage I put on my coat cause it looked windy and cold out. It was 75 degrees out. Then later in the day when it started to get hot in my room I opened the window. There was unnecessary cold air outside then. Even later whilst curled up under my blankets, holding my stuff dog, I could hear the wind. Now normally I can only hear the rain, but this time, I would hear the wind. That means it's real windy. Also the lovely weather lady on the radio told me there was a wind warning. What is a wind warning? "Watch out there's wind out there today!" Cause we couldn't already see that. I really wonder what kind or education people on the radio are required to have in order to get the jobs that they have.
Lastly, I think we should collectively vote to cancel exams for this year. It's just such a hassle having to study and stress out and not sleep and eat junk food without exercising for a whole week. I think the world would be a happier place without exams. I do understand where they're coming from though. If we didn't have exams that were weighted so much then students wouldn't study and therefor not learn much. We'd all be failures and have no one to blame but ourselves. (I'm still voting in favor of the termination of exams.)
