Vacation!!

As some of you will know, last week was vacation for me. I went on a Western Carribean Cruise to Cozumel, Costa Maya, Isla Roatan and Grand Caymen with 17 members of my extended family. The following is an account of my week, not every detail will be present as that would take a lot of space, I filled six pages of my diary during the week. That's a lot of writing my friends.
Saturday, Feb. 18th. We left the house at 9 in the morning and got over the bridge with only a small road block by around 11:00ish. We had breakfast at Bob Evans and then proceeded on to the airport for our 3:00 (I think) flight. Everything went well and we were in Miami by 5:30.
Sunday, Feb 19th. We were all up early I think more from excitment than random wanting to get up early. We had a wonderful complimentary breakfast. However, I was sad to see that Paul le Waffle Garcon could not be there to make some waffles for me. I enjoyed breakfast nontheless and then we boarded a shuttle to the cruise dock. We were on the ship by 11:00 (which is a new record for us) only taking us 50 minutes to get through all the lines and what not's. With Gold Sign and Sail card in hand, we boarded the Carnival Glory cruise ship. It was very similar to the Carnival Triumph which we sailed on in the year of our Lord 2005 (I think) so after lunch on the Lido we went for a tour and I could easily find my way around. All the leaving port shanangans occured including the mustard drills and then we were off in the open sea, sailing like all true Canadians know how, with lots of food.
Monday, Feb. 20th. Was the first sea day and the first full day of sailing. We woke up early for breakfast in the Platinum dining room located on 5 Aft. (this happened every morning with the exception of two) and then started to have lots of fun. By fun I mean sitting in my cabin and watching TV, it was a wonderful vacation complete with three different movies on rerun all day long. Then formal night number 1 came around and we headed off to the dining room for more yummy food. After supper was the super awesome musical which I attended, and thoroughly enjoyed.
Tuesday, Feb. 21th. Cozumel, Mexico!! We woke up already in port and after breakfast we disembarked the vessel to attended a come tan on this beach party. In otherwords, Paradise Beach is not far from the dock so we took a cab and stayed there for the morning. I read lots and tanned lots as well. We went back on the ship for lunch and then back onto the island for some shopping after lunch. The King`s Speech was on the big screen that night so I went up to the Lido to watch it.
Wednesday, Feb. 22st. Costa Maya, Mexico!! We woke up, yet again, already at the schedualed destination. We weren`t really supposed to go to Costa Maya but there were too many ships in Belize that day so we couldn`t go there. We were the only ship in Costa Maya. The water there was so blue you could see all the way to the bottom of the ocean. It was a very beautiful place. We only went off for a little bit around lunch time to do some shopping but other than that we stayed on the ship. It was my youngest cousins 11th birthday so we had a cake and the waiters sang happy birthday to him in the dining room that night. After supper the Green Lantern was playing on the big screen so I watched that :) I`m a fan of Ryan Reynolds.
Thursday, Feb. 23rd. Isla Roatan, Honduras!! I had never been there before and I was very excited to see what it was like. Its very beautiful and not at all like the other places that we went to. The people didn`t rush up to you the minute you walked in the door and try to get you to buy their stuff. It also wasn`t the same stuff with a different name on it like all the other places. I bought all my presents for my friends there appart from a few other small gifts. Before we left the boat while sister was eating breakfast papa and I played checkers with the chess pieces because I don`t know how to play chess. I won, cuz I`m pro, ask anyone who`s had the privilage to be humiliated by my super awesome skills. This was the day that I emptied my pockets of money. I started the week with 100$ and ended with 8$. This was also the first day that I got to see Pier Runners. If you`ve ever had the lucky experience to be on the ship just taking off when two people come running down the pier 40 mins late then you know how I feel. I laughed so hard! It was a very wonderful experience, and I`m not quite sure if they every got back on the ship or if they just went home. That night we played some Bananagrams and went to bed early missing the legendary Deck Party.
Friday, Feb. 24th. Grand Caymen, Caymen Islands!! We had to tender off as there is lots of coral reefs close to the coast. We went snorkeling and I say loads of Dory fishys and a baracuda and lots of coral reefs and it was just so super awesome! On our way back to the ship we did some viewing (different from shopping as we didn`t actually buy anything) and were able to get a tender as soon as we were back. It was elegant night again so we all sported our finest and proceeded to the Golden dining room (our dining room the whole week, table 626) for some scrumptious munchin.
Saturday, Feb. 25th. The open sea between Mexico and Cuba!! It was the last sea day and therefore, the last day on the ship. There was a chocolate buffet around 12 which I attended. And I went to the O2 Club for a little bit in the afternoon for some Apples to Apples and UNO. I bought a t-shirt that says Bon Voyage and it has a ship on it. At 5:00 we went the Ebony Cabaret (aka the comedy club) where we got free drinks, the at 6:00 to the dining room for our last fancy meal of the trip. After supper we packed everything up and made sure we got everything. Then we just lazied around until about 12:00 when we went to bed.
Sunday, Feb. 26th. After being kicked out of our cabins at 8:30 we went for breakfast and then to the Amber Palace to wait for our number to be called. (25) It took us a while to get through customs and then over to the airport. We had a 7:00 flight and we got to the aiport at 12:30ish. We had to wait till 2:00 to check in and then we went through security where they actually had chairs for us to sit on. We started at Gate D46, then moved to D51, then to D20 and then to D38 after our flight was changed to 8:30. It was a long day and we got into Detroit around 12:30 (I think), then home at 2:30 then to school at 8 the next morning.
It was a wonderful trip but in the end it was nice to be home and back in the usual routine of life. I definitly recommend going on a cruise if you have never been cuz tis rather glorious of an experience.

Getting tired of waiting!

Two days, just two short days till I'm soaking up that beautiful carribean sun. All I have to do it get through school and co-op tomorrow and I'm Surfin USA! After such a long, stressful and tiring night I'm sooo excited to just get away and not have to worry about anything. Another thing I like about vacation is that I don't bring any electronics with me except my iPod. I'm totally cut off from the world for a week and it is so relaxing. No need for complaining or hunger, next week is gonna be super awesome! To those of you expecting another post between now and next week should not hold their breaths because I won't be blogging for a while but don't worry. I'm going back to the old fashioned handwritten diary for the week and I'll report back when I return to the true north, strong and free.

Just reopened probs...

I went out for lunch today with two of my awesome friends. We went to this restaurant that was opened and then closed and is now reopened. The food was good but it only took an hour for us to get it! Also the restaurant was packed so I had to squish my chair between another persons chair and the table. This is the problem with a small town that doesn't have a lot of places to eat lunch but a lot of people that need somewhere to eat lunch. I would have gladly settled for my own house for lunch if I'd known it would take that long to get my food.
I'm not usually impatient but for some reason today I was. It made things worse that I was hungry and I just wanted to eat so that I could go home and relax for the rest of the afternoon. After we finally got our food we eat it really fast cause we were all so very hungry.
I had a clubhouse sandwich and a house salad and we all shared mozerella sticks but for some mysterious reason my mozerella sticks were a little low on the mozerella part. It was basically breading with a small amount of the mozerella. They were good anyways, we ate them all.
The whole waiting forever thing didn't make me very keen to return in the future but maybe I'll try it again in a few months when they actually have things under control. I'm just glad I'm not in the restaurant business cause I do not do good under pressure. I also tend to double and sometimes triple check things so its not easy baking with quickness.

Co-op, vball, books and old guys.

Co-op has become the thing that I look forward to everyday. Even though I have it in the morning I still really enjoy it and its super sad when I have to leave and go back to school. But then I remember that I have french class and that cheers me up.
Yesterday I went to co-op in the afternoon and I had a very productive day. I sent a fax successfully all by myself! That's an improvement from the day before when I opened the mail all by myself. Also yesterday I got to use a typewritter and update some fancy law books and I finished the typing that I had been doing all week. Next week promises to be a good week.
Today I had a vball tournament and we won 2 games and lost 2 games and I was trying to play to the best of my abilities but the coach kept talking to me and it was making me frustrated so I just stopped playing my best. Unfortunatly I very easily get frustrated. This does not work to my advantage...ever.
Also today I read that Harry and Hermione and Ron are planning on forming a group to practise Defense Against the Dark Arts because Umbridge won't teach them anything. I really feel for those guys.
A warning, if you ever run into a hippogriff, bow before proceeding to pet. Don't listen to Draco, they're actually really nice creatures.
Its Saturday night, the snow has made it a stay in night and I'm watching the Hangover Part 2 tonight. Then I thought I might read more of HPOP. I just can't put books down, its like a sin. Fun fact, I also won't ever hurt a book on purpose because I think they have feelings and could feel if I hurt it. I love books.

"That some achieve great success, is proof to all that others can achieve it as well." - Abraham Lincoln
These are two of my favourite people from american history. I very much wish that I could have met both of them because they were super awesome.

A wonderfully, spectacular day

Today was a rather spectacular kind of day. I thoroughly enjoyed co-op this morning and french class was super awesomesauce. The only thing that held me back today was not being able to read my book all day instead of learn. But then learning is also a wonderful thing, how does one decide between one wonderful thing and another wonderful thing?
In english class I once again realized how much I rock at essay writting. I finally got the Wuthering Heights essay that I handed in months ago and to much suprise I recieved a 97 on it! Thank you Mrs. H for making me write essays over and over again last year. Without her persistantly making me rewrite that research essay until it was perfect I never could have gotten close to the 97. To say the least, I'm super proud of myself, but I still hate essays so don't expect me to randomly write them for fun, that would be nerdy and brownnoser of me.
Another awesome happening of my day was that I finally refigured out how to smash the ball in vball. Before Christmas break I had it down and then I lost my mojo from all that yummy food, but I think I got it back now! Tomorrow should be a good game, bring it on Herman, I'm ready for you.
To conclude this super awesomesaucyness of a day, I just finished watching an action packed and intense episode of Hawaii 5-0. Twas from monday night, go watch it. And now I shall read. Harry Potter is never without adventure, his story is the best to read as a bedtime story.
Forever reading, this is t-bear signing off.

Tis in fact February the 6th

After a long and tiring weekend, today was a lovely day at school. I have come to the conclusion that this is going to be a wonderful semester. In the mornings I go to co-op and right after that, I get to do french! Could the day get any better? I would have to say not. Unless we were taking french in France, that would be super-duper awesomesauce. As that is not the case, I am forced to sit in a classroom that has very uncomfortable desks. I guess I can deal with it, for now.
To my happiness, over the long weekend I was able to complete Atonement and now I am moving along to HP and the Order of Phoenix. This is the one that makes it hard to watch the movie because of how much they left out. It felt like that for the 4th novel as well but this one is even longer. I have to say, this world would be a little more dark and sad inside if JK Rowling hadn't decided that her calling is writing. Whoever gave her such an imagination deserves huge props cause the story of HP that she created it so fantastical that I have trouble reading it without believing that it is true and that somewhere out there Harry and his friends are chillin in the Griffindor common room. If only my parents hadn't decided to bring shame upon me by hiding my Hogwarts letter from me.
I was unhappy to hear that Grawp did not make a guest appearance for the Giants in the Superbowl. I was hoping to see him there, he is such a great asset to the Giant team that it's really a shame they left him out. I feel sorry for the guy, really, I mean, who wants to go their whole life feeling like their unwanted in a world full of wizards? I can tell ya one things for sure, I wouldn't want that for myself or any of my friends.
Since we're on the topic of HP, go to walmart or some other cd store and get yourself a copy of the HPDHpart 2 soundtrack. I'm listening to it right now and it is blowing my mind. Track 9 is my ulimate favourite at the second but the whole cd is rather spectacular. Great studying material if I do say so myself.
Don't forget to go see Safe House which is (I think) currently in theatres. It has Reynolds Ryan in it. A picture will definitly be provided momentarily...

This and more if you tune in to...the theatre...

Vball tournament

Tonight I'll fall asleep 6 hours north of where I woke up this morning. Not only did I have to sit in a vehicle for 6 hours but I also my friend puked twice. I have trouble with the whole throwing up thing. But I got through that and then after I recovered we went for supper at "east side mario's".
Tomorrow the tournament starts and I hope I'll be able to sleep good enough to play awesomely.
I successfully bought the movie "Charlie St. Cloud" and the "harry potter and the deathly hallows part 2" soundtrack and a super awesome shirt that I can wear to co-op.
Also, a recommended movie is "the proposal". Watch it.

Acceptance!!!

So, today is a very exciting day cuz I have recieved the information that I have officially been accepted to 4 out of the 5 colleges that I applied to!! Had I gone to bed last night knowing that today would be legendary then I don't know if I would have been able to fall into the sweet slumber that did in fact take me over. Not only did I get accepted to the school but the two schools that I applied to res in have also accepted me. My life is complete, now I just have to build up the courage to leave my mother.
In addition to the super awesome news about college, I got to go to co-op today and that was spectacular. In short, I am having a wonderful day and it will only be made better by the awesomesaucyness of going out to dinner with some of the legendary people in my life that I call friends.
Finally, I experienced an awe moment with a friend last night. We went to see Contraband (I recommend it), and this time the crappy theatre didn't change the times on us. Also Mark Wahlberg was in it. If that isn't a sexy hunk of man I don't know what is. Don't worry I have provided a picture...
Not only was he in the movie but his hot unnamed friend was also there and that combined with the super intenseness of action packed hoopla, well it was a rather entertaining evening.
The song of the day is "we are young" by fun. Look it up, download it, let you ears hear its beautiful mixture of awesome and amazing.
